Physician

Armida Nuñez, MD, ha ejercido la medicina en el área de Vancouver desde 1996 y está
emocionada de unirse a Main Street Family Medicine, donde atenderá principalmente a
nuestros clientes hispanos. Su experiencia es en medicina de emergencia y ejerció en el departamento de emergencias del Peace Health Medical Center durante casi 15 años. Más recientemente, durante los últimos 8
años, hizo la transición a la atención de urgencia en la Vancouver Clinic, donde se desempeñó
como jefa de departamento durante algunos años. También se ha diversificado en la
telemedicina y disfruta brindando un mayor acceso a la atención de los pacientes en sus
hogares o en el trabajo. Le apasiona servir a la comunidad Latina y es voluntaria en la clínica
médica de New Heights.

Realizó sus estudios universitarios en Portland State University y obtuvo su título de médico en
la Eastern Virginia Medical School. Luego regresó al noroeste para completar su residencia en
medicina de emergencia en Oregon Health Sciences University en 1996. Ella es originaria de México y emigró a los Estados Unidos a una edad temprana. Habla español con fluidez y le encanta ser parte de la comunidad latina.

Tiene dos hijos adultos jóvenes, un hijo y una hija y pronto, un yerno. Le encanta pasar tiempo
con la familia y amigos cercanos. En su tiempo libre, le gusta leer, caminar y cuidar a su pequeño Yorkie.

Armida Nuñez, MD, has practiced medicine in the Vancouver area since 1996 and is excited to
join Main Street Family Medicine, where she will be primarily serving our Hispanic clients.
Her background is in emergency medicine, and she practiced in the emergency department at Peace
Health Medical center for nearly 15 years. More recently, over the last 8 years, she transitioned
to urgent care at The Vancouver Clinic, where she served as department chair for a few years. She
has also branched out into telemedicine and enjoys providing increased access for patients in
their homes or at work. She has a passion for serving the underserved community and
volunteers at New Heights medical clinic.

She pursued her undergraduate studies at Portland State University and obtained her medical
degree through Eastern Virginia Medical School. She then returned to the northwest to
complete her emergency medicine residency at the Oregon Health Sciences University in 1996.
She is originally from Mexico and immigrated to the US at a young age. She is fluent in
Spanish loves being a part of the Latino community.

She has two young adult children and soon, a son-in-law. She loves spending time with family and
close friends. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, walking, and taking care of her little Yorkie.
